So this is interesting, Alexa says that we are 37,959 in the UK and that our traffic is more UK than US!

I wonder how accurate Alexa is since it has no means of measuring activity on the site? It treats it like a static web page, not a forum, and gathers stats only based on traffic from search engines, which would make the numbers totally useless.

@scottalanmiller no search traffic. Algorithm from their Alexa users. Think those damn toolbars that get installed when you install something else. https://support.alexa.com/hc/en-us/articles/200449744-How-are-Alexa-s-traffic-rankings-determined-

Yeah... that's how they used to do all of it. Maybe they still do. That would make stats on a tech forum totally wrong as IT people don't have toolbars installed, normally.

It would also be very hard to categorize as a single page load could be thousands of posts as it is not a page load for each page.

On some systems, the page address for any thread is constantly changing to reflect what post is on the screen. I've noticed it on desktops.

Doesn't account for a US/UK discrepancy, but could definitely be recorded as a high number of page views.

Could be, but it is just the URL updating, not an actual page load.

                      I love conflict resolution though
