Having a monster rack mount 4U chassis with an RP2 in it would be hilarious. And have it boot from SD card too, ha.
I see a number of builds where they have 64 or more RP2s in a cluster. Lot of wonder in that...
Sounds fun but I can't imagine it being terribly efficient ($ or KW/h)

About to start my shift at Staples. 1-6 today

Actually they are designed specifically because they are so power efficient. That's why there is a big move to ARM RISC servers.

The raspberry Pi?
I think you're confusing it with the end result of "what will run this the fastest for the least amount of money"

Not the RP specifically, they are starting to make far more powerful 64bit ARM server procs (AMD is racing to get these out.) But RPs too. The RP has some of the best bang for the buck because of the volume in production.

Not sure what you mean?

I think they are power efficient(ish) as a bonus - the design goal was a cheap computer.

Edit: I think you're talking about the ARM cpu and I'm talking about the RPi?

Correct.

In the process of selling our house and wanted to turn my office into a bedroom to show it off. My desk took up ~50% of the room.
Cool! ... Either you have a tiny bedroom or a big desk, lol.

A little of A... a little of B. The bedroom could probably only fit a twin sized bed, an end table and a dresser. My desk easily accommodates 3 27" monitors and a full tower gaming PC with all the peripherals.

Love @Minion-Queen's new Grove Social ad!

It is rather large

Why do the oversensitive SW mods feel the need to inform me that my post was "rude and unfriendly" (I said "contact your copier service provider or your IT dept") when they are nuking the f*cking post anyway???? I look forward to shunning this mod at Spiceworld 2016... and maybe putting some capsaicin in his drink or on his phone.

This is nowhere near the first example of this particular mod being up my ass... this example isn't even in the first hundred...
