Just had a big f***[moderated] fail trying to install nodeBB 0.9.0
Had an even bigger f***[moderated] fail trying to post about it on their community.

I run into stuff like this pretty regularly. As an example, we were able to update ML to 0.9.0 but the Kidding Around Europe site, running on the same server with the same install, can't do the upgrade.

Problem with CentOS has finally been determined. THe repos only carry nodejs v10 which is 2 years old.

I will have to figure out how to get v12 on CentOS if I wish to stay with CentOS.

If you wanted to be closer to CentOS but OS level up to date, Fedora 23 is an option.

But for CentOS 7 with up to date Node, I actually have a MangoLassi How To from five months ago!!

              http://mangolassi.it/topic/5366/getting-nodejs-on-centos-7-with-nvm

Who would have guessed that that would be needed now 🙂 NVM is great for this. Keeps Node up to date separate from the rest of the OS.

Ubuntu 15.10. We use the same OS that the devs work from.

Cool! How are you going to use it? Do you have play-by-post intermissions or is this more a place to share info between the players and yourself during the game?

House rules, meta game info, links to prior game logs, etc.
