Wow. My computer cost me $375 off-the-shelf (Asus Essentio) and about the same for the video card and power supply. That was in 2011. The SSD was less than $100 late last year.

Haven't played in years, but my favorite racing game was Pro Race Driver, I had it for PC and PS2. Loved Need for Speed Most Wanted v1.

@alexntg You're sure you've got that right? The video card itself he has there is worth significantly more than that.

The pricing I paid was for my computer, not his.

You said it was nearly that for specs

That's not what I said. I said that I paid about the same for the video card and power supply as I did for the computer.

Ah, my bad.

Getting the new Zotac Steam Machine. Intel Core i5 6th Gen Quad Core 2.2GHz, 8GB, NVidia GTX 960, Steam OS.

My curent gaming rig is a Acer Aspire v3... 16GB ram and an Nvidia something or another with 2GB of ram. It has played every game I've thrown at it beautifully.

Necro-thread!

While we're on the subject of necrothreading, I'm thinking of picking up a GTX 980 and a 1440p monitor that supports gsync. time to start looking for holiday sales.
