of course i need it, if i want to access the IP cameras from another mobile for example or just delete the app on my smart phone and need to create again an account , it is very important
-
did you see that link i post above ??
-
-
OK so you can't add the app to another device without the password.
Is the device currently in a usable state? Can you view the cameras from the app you have now on your phone, or from your desktop computer?
-
yeah i can, me and the manager only
the problem is if the manager tell : well i buy new phone and i want you to set up the app on my mobile, then what i do ?? because he do not know about this yet ;( -
I think it is time to fess up.
Hey boss, the password for the DVR is lost. I can leave everything as it is now, but when you need new access on a new phone, I will have to try to reset the password, and that may break the box and we will have to buy a new one.
-
Maybe you will even luck out and the boss will know the password

You should look into something like Keepass. Save the database in a shared location and lock it down, then you can have all your passwords in one place so you don't have to remember them.
-
Keepass you definitely need. And share it with the boss.
-
unplug it, put a multimeter across CN8 - might learn something.
next up, google the nextchip nvp1118B - might learn something there too
-
Have you tried 123456, or 000000 as the passwords?
