Lost Network / Server: Service blip -

We have an alert set for when connection to a clients server is lost to notify us. Within moments of receiving an alert today I was able to connect to the Domain Controller and see that things were actually up.
Called the clients office to check to see if anything had happened; power, storm, and was told that nothing occurred. I then received a call from the owner (who was at lunch) asking what was going on.
The owner reported that two people reported 'losing their desktop' and getting disconnected from Quickbooks.
Thus far looking over the Application and system logs on the server I haven't found anything to indicate any type of server or networking issue.
I'm gathering more information such as which computers were affected to look at those event files,.. but am curious as to what other options there could be.
Obviously - a minor hiccup on the network could cause this.. and would be difficult to trace down unless you were scanning the network at that moment.

Do they have battery backups on everything? Also do they have three phase power? if so they could have lost a phase of power and only effected equipment that is wired into that phase.

Nothing in the office is on three phase,.. but that would be something to consider.

I didn't mean the equipment runs on three phase, I meant is the mains coming in from the utility three phase?

Easier question to ask - did any computers loose power at all? If the answer is yes, then ask, was it all or just some? If some, then possibly you had a 3 phase power related issue. If not, then this is not an issue.
