Office Furniture
-
I work out of a home office, and as such comfortable office furniture is important to me.
Does anyone else enjoy a comfortable home office? Much of the furnishings in mine have come from IKEA. (a bastion of inexpensive housewares) -
I went to a local auction house to get my good computer chair. I picked up a $600 Harmon Miller for $50. A little scrubbing and it looks like brand new.
I want one of these.
New they're over $600, in the auction house, they're still over $400 normally.

I had a chair very similar to that when I worked in NYC. It was really comfy.
-
Only bad thing about the chair is it tends to be cold in the winter if your building is cold at all.

I've been wanting one of those. Although now that I stand so much it doesn't seem to really matter.

They make bar height versions as well.

I'm trying to not sit down, though

My chair is a staples chair, but is fantastically comfortable, and my desk is an old door. I love my home office.

i have a hard time finding a comfy chair. 6'7" and 270lbs makes for an interesting desk/chair combo. right now i've got a L desk and a standard office depot $150 special. it's not very comfortable. but I dont always work from the office. i'm not sure why i've made this post about me, i have nothing to add b/c my chair isn't comfortable. I wish you luck in your search.

I have 2 chairs in my office. A cheap task chair from staples that I sit in most of the time and a very comfy Managers chair that I change out to from time to time.

I have one of these in my office:

In office #1, it's a cheap task chair. The kid has my comfy office chair, and it's a pain to type for long sitting in it. In office #2, I sit on a throne... a drum throne, that is. It's a nice $150 pork Pie, and it's very comfy. I love it, but it has no back.
