having a conversation with another tech in a different department.
Looks like he's feeling the same way as I am with being fed up with company and tired of the Bullshit.
He said he's been ignored for 3 days now, where he asks a question on a software he is new to using.
The guys that's been here for 4 years doesnt seem to care about his career or growth so he's doing just fine, He said " it is how it is.. Nothing's really going to change it.."
Well I say forget that, We're getting a new GM coming august.
Let's see what happens around then, i suppose.

In the meantime, polish up that resume.

I feel your pain... Just caffeinate until you can thread a sewing machine while it is running.

Or rescue everyone from a burning building.

Daaaaayum!!!! I pay the same for 150/25, internet only. Lucky so and so!

Still better than me... 100/10 for me.

Spectrum is the better of my 2 choices. The other is AT&T 😞

Got to love when an install goes wrong on a client's CEO machine.

      Ouch.

It was simple to fix, just took way to long. Symantec Cloud being replaced with Sophos Cloud. Symantec didn't uninstall properly (no big surprise). To fix it, uninstall Symantec manually, reboot, uninstall Sophos, reboot, install Sophos, reboot. Now I've only got another 100 or so to do.

    • RE: How well does webdav work on windows clients?

@Pete-S From everything I've read, the security concerns are not about the WebDAV protocol. Certain implementations of it did have issues, and how it's used can make a big difference.

Using it with a secured (HTTPS) connection to NextCloud should be fine. Even better if you have it behind a reverse proxy like so many of us here do.

We use this sometimes, and it works great.

I forgot to say, I use it with my Nextcloud install all the time. Works great when not at home, and no sync client to screw up file sync between all my devices.

@scottalanmiller wow I really don't understand how you can travel so fast without losing your mind xD
Waiting for your news when you will see the night life in montecatini 😉

vacation? Not a ton of need to stay in any one place more than 3 or 4 days.
and depending on the goals, 1 day might be enough.

Wow my standard holiday is 1 week in the same city (usually a major one) OR one day in minor cites. But he is moving all around a continent day after day 🙂

Scott has done this sort of thing a number of times before.

Many thanks for this I never heard of this project, glad finally we have UI for either SS or Ansible

The AWX project is upstream project for Red Hat's Ansible Tower.

      https://www.ansible.com/products/awx-project/faq

Also has lots of Ansible playbooks available at https://galaxy.ansible.com/ to do all the things.

This is actually a decent explanation of what I am trying to do:

      https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/108735-scanning-linux-devices-with-non-root-user

That original one, while technically correct, seems purposely made more difficult to me.

Ugh, that 🌶 thread, don't name your custom script the same thing as the program being run, FFS.

This is where I have to ask, what exactly are you trying to accomplish? Just grab system information with dmidecode, or something different?
