Yep, I'm here taking some notes, might be time to raise the priority on this request. Definitely not the first time this has been requested. Let me think this over in the morning.

sign out:@Sodium has come a long way in the last few months. But currently with the 20 minute signout - it's not something I can really use. It's just really impractical for me to return from addressing a issue after 15 - 20 minutes and have to sign in again...
Duly noted. This was a security choice but as this is not the first time I've heard this we will be looking into changing this.
Don’t choose for me. Give me a remember me button that makes it last 24 hours at a minimum. Keep 20 minutes if you want for those that don’t check it.
This a Chrome-esque disaster. You can recommend all you want, but you cannot force me to do something. I will si ply not use you.
I think you're absolutely right. It all needs to simply be options to select from.

Getting ready to make dinner and thinking about how I should have kept my mouth shut, or rather ignored an email, so I wouldn't have to work tomorrow.
Not the brightest moment for you.

Hey Matt, very odd. Sorry you're having some rough seas at the moment. I'll be looking into this and I'll get back to you here soon hopefully. If I have any questions or trouble repro-ing the issue I may send you a pm.

RE: Enterprise to IT Service\Software Company
@jaredbusch said in Enterprise to IT Service\Software Company:
As the others have stated, 50 to 250 is a huge swing in the SMB.
There are a ton of risk factors involved.
It is nice that the company has a specific vertical that they are able to service, but how long have they been doing it.
How is the software actually written? How is it served? How is it kept up to date visually? How is it kept up to date technically?
You might not be a developer, but you need to know these types of things when you go work for a software company. These are the things that will keep the company in business or drive them to their competition (or spawn new competition).
Great points right here. Last position I was at was considerably outdated and weren't getting up to date very quickly. Due to this they were gradually losing clients to competitors. Being that they had literally the one product when I left they were in a scramble to get up to date. Being aware of how development is going, languages being used, approaches to other tech will help you get a grasp on what you are getting yourself into. There's a difference between getting paid 20% more to join a team or paid 20% more to save a company from going under.

You can do anything for ten seconds. Just keep going ten seconds at a time.
Definitely how I'm feeling today. Today is absolutely going to be a beer or 3 for lunch kind of day.

@jaredbusch I do believe we're splitting hairs now, so forgive me for my "inadequate" terminology use. I will proceed to COPY my files to my USB sticks so as not to lose them when I basically annihilate my computer.
Don't feel bad... @JaredBusch only acts like a big grump when he cares.
I actually see him as grumpy cat sometimes. Just kidding Jared!

RE: Issue Installing SodiumSuite on Windows Server and Desktop
@wls-itguy You should potentially see it now. Something is definitely messing with the assignment job. I'll be spending my night on this apparently lol. In the meanwhile let me know if you see that machine when you get a chance.

I guess I’m not finding the place users go to submit tickets?
Maybe I need to first add some users ?
Currently there is only the one interface for tickets. We do absolutely acknowledge the need for a form of web portal though/email input. This is definitely high on the list of requirements for our ticketing system. We are revamping a good portion of that system though, so likely in that revamp we will be including the web portal as well.
I think it was mentioned somewhere else we are on boarding some developers currently so hopefully we can attack more things at once.

Please note that we did just miss a scheduled job so there are other things that I am looking into but are unrelated to this.

All 4 are now showing properly :)! Looking into some other backend topics but these are resolved.

@RestoronixSean just pulled someone out of a car wreck.
That's good/not good. Everyone okay?
Hit and run. Guy almost had a heart attack due to a heart condition, but medics are there and he seems to be okay.
@RestoronixSean got her plates and even a picture, though. So won't be good for her.
Yep, she's done. Good deal.

@Dominica is going to do home made Indian for dinner. Probably something with paneer.
Very nice, nothing like that in my area. Might get pizza.

@QuixoticJeremy does have a team of new people coming on, maybe one of them could help with a migration tool.
It's very possible. Would definitely be worth the effort.
And if it is only helpdesk, might not be all that much effort. It might be decently simple. Little Python script or something. It's just SQlite.
Actually exactly what I was thinking...
