Do you remember the pawn that was wearing the face of the faceless man that died by drinking the water because Arya killed the wrong person?
He can't possibly be able to die and share his face. Since a face can only be used if a person is dead. Otherwise there is some other stuff happening (like him being a god).
Even the Faceless man explains this to Arya.
The mistake you are making here is assuming that we have seen the proper face of the person in charge. Or even that there is a single individual running the show. The face you are referring to is just one of the previous victims of the group that gets shared around.
Wrong, there was an entire conversation about how a face can't be used unless the person was killed. And it can't be used by more than a single person at a time.
But have we seen it on more that one person at a time?
There was some nameless guy that had to drink the water when Arya killed the wrong person, the faceless god was punishing her. And that guy was talking to Arya with the faceless man's face. And then the actual faceless man walked up and pulled the face off of the now dead guy.
Perhaps then, though I might chalk that up to an error in the show. I would also point out that the group in question is not always the most honest so the statement about only one person being able to use a face may have been misinformation.

I found this secret picture of the @Minion-Queen at work.
omg that screen size... my neck would get sore.
Other thoughts... would be fun to move the mouse pointer around to play with a cat.
OUCH!
I've know people who have wanted a workstation monitor like that - uh.. just NO.
In upper management, if IT denies the purchase request, they'll just go out, purchase their own, and expense it out. But, its also not ITs responsibility to maintain either.
It's a display, not really an IT thing anyway.
You are right. However, to a nom-IT person, they're still considered IT.
Important that IT people not repeat that.
Which part do you not want me to repeat?
That IT people support "electronics". The part that lay people get wrong. When IT repeats that, it reinforces it or even justifies it. How can we expect non-tech people to understand who is bench, who is an electrician, who is a developer or who is IT if we blend them all together ourselves? It's a habit to break that we all do. But doing it can help lead to problems where the IT person is told to fix the sprinkler because "it's technical." <-- real issue
I may be in possession of the log in details to my company's sprinkler system. Luckily there are other people around whose job it is to deal with the actual fixing. I just had to help out with regaining access to the control dashboard when the employee who did the initial setup left the company.

RE: .Exe to .msi
@lakshmana Not sure where you would find it these days. That was more meant as a point of interest than a suggestion.

RE: .Exe to .msi
MS used to have a tool called Orca that could be used for this task. Pretty sure it is long since retired with no replacement though.

And it was my own shop.
I know some people that have gotten hired or promoted because they ran/run their own business. Doesn't seem to me like it mattered whether the business was related to the job either. I wouldn't drop that unless it was some sort of horror story you just can't talk about.

Oh, and the apps are not populating?
Yup, nothing there. @QuixoticJeremy seems to have the issue in hand based on his previous post. Will give it a bit, maybe wait for his next update saying that fixes are ready for testing.

Mayweather-McGregor news conference
THey've given up fighting and just do news now?
They been traveling different cities for news conference leading up to the fight.
What a weird thing to do. What news is there about a fight? Like, unless there is drama that it might not happen....
It is traditional in sports generally to do lots of press events for marketing reasons. They are generally fluff at best. In fight sports there is a tendency to talking shit about the opponent to build tension at said events. Macgregor and Mayweather are both considered to be quite good at that bit of the process so there may have been some entertainment value. There was almost certainly no news to be had.

RE: Sodium Update
Installed one yesterday and it didn't show. It was there when I logged in this morning though. The applications section is blank currently and I thought I saw people upthread with results there.

airfare is not great though.
Getting to Rochester is slightly awkward verses some other locations but not awful. I gave myself an extra little adventure because I didn't like the connecting flights on offer when I booked tickets. I'll be flying to Cleveland and then taking the train the rest of the way the next morning. About the same cost as flying straight through even with the overnight but I get to enjoy the excellent beer distribution in OH and also what will hopefully be an awesome ride along the lake.

Have not looked at this particular study but these types of food/health studies are notorious for small sample sizes and poor methodology.
Anything claiming to tell about the amazing health benefits of XYZ food item is pretty much to be ignored with extreme prejudice.
The same for anything claiming "This will be the death of you".
Indeed those are also as a general rule a hard pass.
