Another terrorist attack in London overnight, seems to be a "retaliation attack" - but targeting peaceful Muslims that have never done anything wrong...
Was that confirmed? Assuming you're talking about the vehicle that ran over some people? The last report I read said that they didn't know if it was just an accident or intentional?
Yeah, the latest was that when the guy was arrested, he was shouting "Death to Muslims, I've done my part" while being taken away - sounds pretty intentional to me sadly.
While it's true (and completely wrong) that we call a single person acting out a terror attack these days - I personally don't consider this a terrorist attack unless it was sponsored by one of the terrorist orgs.
With any luck, this is just one pissed of person with an ax to grind, and sadly this is how they decided to grind it.
By definition a "terror attack" is just an attack that is designed//executed to cause terror, can be a crazy-guy targeting a specific group or an organised group out to cause as much destruction as possible.

Is he checking she's voting for him, or making sure she doesn't write a note asking for help...?

RE: GPO Help after Migration

OK, at least we're getting a little information.
You have SBS. That stands to reason that you likely only ever had one Domain Controller. Sure it's possible you had more than one, but seems unlikely.
So if the DC died - how did they recover it? - I know I know, you don't know because no one will fess up.
Personally I'd go to your boss and asks him to reassign the ticket back to the two buffoons who started working on this mess. But I'm guessing that's not a real option.
Have you checked the \stone.local\sysvol\stone.local\policies\ folder to see if the listed directory is there?
Ah yeah, sorry, it's been a long few weeks, should have mentioned that sorry
And yup, I get all these fun tickets to clean up after everyone else lol...
I have and it doesn't, it has a different folder, with a different name

RE: GPO Help after Migration
But I get this when running gpupdate:
Bearing in mind this is the new server...

RE: GPO Help after Migration
@Dashrender said in GPO Help after Migration:
What do you mean a migration was forced? AD doesn't really work that way.
How many AD servers do you have right now?
Not sure, as above - no-one wants to claim responsibility for it, I've asked the two people that are on the ticket and both are saying the other did it...go figure! Just the one AD server now.
@Grey said in GPO Help after Migration:
This sounds like a replication issue. What does gpresult tell you? Be sure to use /v and /h options to get a full picture.
Hmmmmm

RE: GPO Help after Migration
One, its a small setup, and not sure how to be honest, I know there were issues, but everyone is denying responsibility....I know the new server was put in and a migration was forced across...but thats all I know
