I added to fstab
x-systemd.automount instead of _netdev but still wouldnt work
and enabled this service
systemctl enable systemd-networkd-wait-online.service
and the share is mounted on boot.
In fact, i can now remove x-systemd.automount and replace with _netdev again and it works.
So i just had not enabled this service.

Our DC sent a warning about this. And they said it's not just VMs, could also happen to bare metal.

That was part of my point... EU companies have SO much more money than US ones. It's mind boggling how different it is. What you see as "average" in the EU are setups larger than the entire average budget of a US IT department!

I get weird crap going wrong all the time between different hardware with those, even sometimes on my Fedora laptop. So don't play the whole Linux GUI never has issues card because I've never experienced so much crap going wrong on anything as much as Linux desktop GUIs.

The difference I find is that every Windows deployment I see has issues, and I only see issues on Linux because I deal with so many that eventually things come up. Everything has issues, but nothing has issues like Windows. You can't compare Fedora or Mac OS problems and inconsistencies with Windows, it's a world of difference. You can't even compared Windows 10 with Windows 7 or older. MS has moved into a whole new world of problems with their desktops.

Linux Desktops is even more stable if you only use Window Managers.

And even more if you are happy with just text!

I have move from the Dell PowerConnect and X Series to EdgeSwitch 48 Port sand 48 PoE 750 W. They have been working great and can handle a lot of traffic pretty good. Also Layer 3.

What would i need to do to get all the existing MW data and put it in a newer MW server? Just tar up the data folder and untar in new MW server? That seems too easy.

You'll want to export and import. But yeah, that's about it. MW is not complicated in any specific way. I do this with WP all the time. It's really that easy.
