I really like Synology for this. Plus you get extra little benefits like complete backups of workstations, and then you can backup your critical synology folders to any cloud platform you like including another dedicated Synology for backups.

@Pete-S That's a commercial module that relies on using their official distro. I use PIAF, and would prefer to find an OSS if available.

Has anyone done a Zoho CRM integration with an asterisk/FreePBX based system?

Has anyone here every bought Acrobits either White-Label or Full-Featured? If so, what's your experience been like? Considering it ... for a main reason can't find a decent desktop VoIP app.

@Pete-S Not sure if he even has a CRM setup. Often when clients like an aspect of a current implementation, telling them that you can't, that you must do it a different way isn't always met positively. They say - Yes I want the new better stuff, but I still need this old piece.

What is their current system that provides those reports? I've been toying with making a whole external CDR system for asterisk based systems and have contemplated what data is required. Rather like the simple graph of Call Quality with happy faces.

@JaredBusch Yeah, that sucks, but I'm holding out hope. I've actually been thinking about getting back into use pfSense on Qotom.

@scottalanmiller HUH?? What do you/they mean by bundle? Using ZohoOne? Or I assume you already have ZohoOne and you mean using different parts of Zoho apps to talk to other parts of Zoho apps?

@Johann Why not use a Qotom box with Intel NIC's, and put pfSense on it?

@JaredBusch I've never used that either, but I like a lot of their stuff. Lots of people use their switches, but Routers don't have functionality that many need.

For price / performance theses things are hard to beat.

Correct - you should be using PJsip. Also as far as changing extensions, you can run into the same issue even if you use the same extension number but you change the channel driver from SIP to PJSIP. This is how I've accomplished the task for remote phones that you can't touch. From your EPM, issue a reboot. Then real quick, you change the extension to use PJSIP, go to EPM, and then do a rebuild. If you do it properly, the phone will then grab the new settings and reconfigure itself and work just fine. You can of course do the same thing if you are changing the extension number on it.

@jasgot Let me know what you come up with ... I was just reviewing something similar. I was thinking if the wholesale cost of the phone is like $120 and retail is like $180 ... then to charge $10 / month for phones gives you a cost payback in 1 year, and normal profit at 18 months. I'd think if the contract period is 3 years, then you're for sure in the money and you really hope they keep them for 6 years. We do all inclusive pricing on phone setups meaning we roll in setup, management of the call flow, etc. all in there. So charge whatever you do per extension in that contract with the option of the phones as well. Depends on your business model whether they are a profit center or not. If not, then charge enough to make it worth your while, otherwise, let them get them and worry about warranty on them.

@wrcombs That's why I have a couple power supplies for laptop. Keep one at desk at home, and the other stays in bag. If by chance I accidentally leave the charger at a client's or something, I'm not screwed.
