@Bill-Kindle Are you talking about the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file? They deleted it? By default, I believe it's set to read-only for normal users. So unless you explicitly open it as admin to edit it you can't. So I suppose a rogue app (or just a poorly written one) could change it if running as administrator. I have seen that, but I don't remember what "legit" app it was. If I recall correctly, it was just the programmer being lazy.

WOW! It's probably people like this that prompted Microsoft to add the "feature" of single-click to open. Working on computers that have that enabled drives me batty.

I too use SwiftKey as my primary keyboard on my Nexus 4. 80% of the time I'm swiping on it as it's much easier for me to do one handed. I'm glad that Apple is allowing 3rd party keyboards through their walled garden though. That's progress.

I know I'm new here, but here's my $.02 anyway. Yes, it's pretty hard to read and the most recent replies don't mean much without knowing the topic anyway. I'd rather see just a list of categories (maybe containing a list of the most recent posts in it). The two things I look for are, first, new replies to posts I've already seen and then new posts.

Just got another Daily Digest and it still has port numbers in the URLs (4567). And those URLs don't work.

Seems that everyone is using the term VDI for any desktop (regardless of user or server desktop) which is accessed through the cloud.

VDI is rather expensive, XenApp/RDS will work for most things as you have well said a million times.

Or you cheat and use Windows server (datacenter license) instead of the desktop license.

But then it's not a desktop;). VDI is a Windows license situation more than it is a technology. Do it with Windows server and you are doing single user remote servers.

Are those 2 things mutually exclusive? That's what we do with Parallels Virtual Automation for our VDI solution.

Because you return it to them, and get your new phone and no monetary gain. Which lets be honest... odds are you'd want to sell it on Ebay after you were done with it and make a nice $50-$200 profit. Not sure where that guy said I'd be saving $40 comes from.

NEXT is a scam, and they need to clarify what they are saying before trying to sell it to people.

Whoa! Didn't know this! That's brutal. Good thing I've already told people Next is a ripoff (that was before I saw these reasons).

@scottalanmiller Well, considering I wasn't born until 1983 and it was my only 8bit computer, I'd have to go with the Commodore 64 as well. Space Invaders FTW!!
