I can help you with the setup (been working with oVirt from before it was even called ovirt), but you have to answer my points in the other topic
I'm doing an oVirt install right now.
Why not fork that out as a build thread?
I'm sure lots of peeps would be interested! -

KVM host: refusing connection on ports 22 & 9090
This past weekend one of my KVM hosts has started acting funny.
It's refusing connections on ports 22 & 9090.I was able to use the new Relay feature on MeshCentral 2 to connect via LAN but this connection only stays on for 15 secs then disconnects.
Pls throw some crazy ideas my way!!

RE: KVM host: refusing connection on ports 22 & 9090
@StuartJordan These are the ports I always need (haven't checked others).
I was able to use the new Relay feature on MeshCentral 2 to connect via LAN. -

We have an attorney, but he's not specific to IT.
He does know IT?
Best way to proceed? -

RE: Skyetel auto enables billable services without notice
Per google:
scam /skam/ nounINFORMAL 1. a dishonest scheme; a fraud. "an insurance scam" synonyms: fraud, swindle, fraudulent scheme, racket, trick, diddle; More verb 1. swindle. "a guy that scams the elderly out of their savings"
I would have to disagree, but, that is just my opinion, ymmv.

But this is just theft. Also why is is -$10.11? Terminating those calls most certianly does not cost that much.
@JaredBusch please note that the Port In Fee was $10, the actual usage for this number was only $0.11. So you only spent $0.11 in usage for this number for the month of April thus far.
I wasn't going to be the one that pointed that out...but calling some a "thief" without fully vetting (aka understanding) the charges...that's why I said this thread is just a "pissing" contest.
Theft. 100%. They enabled services with no authorization.
Bra, if you feel that strongly, just cancel your service.

...It is not a nice feeling for the customer to see a negative balance in their account and not know what it is about.
Really, damn, are you that sensitive?
It's not about sensitive. Accounting departments can be incredibly cranky about things being negative and not "due". Negative usually means past due, and can get people up in arms.
If an accounting dept. is going to get cranky before they know the details of a transaction, that's on them!

RE: oVirt Host Choices for Production
@EddieJennings I would start by using oVirt Node (it's based on CentOS), it's the simplest, least hassled way of setting up.

@Dashrender you recall correctly. But basic IPSEC is in the controller now. I do believe.
JB is correct, just use the IPSEC in both controllers (aka routers).

@scottalanmiller said in Testing oVirt...:
Yeah, way too much overhead and complexity. It make simple tasks hard and it is totally focused on clustering which rarely has any place in the SMB. Deploying it was a huge headache. Had some neat features, but none that we cared about. We ran into some issues with it that were enough that we questioned the logic of trying to use it.
Tested virt-manager instead and it was flexible, simple, and worked perfectly, instantly. The real thing was that in the end oVirt just offered nothing of particular value, but had a lot of negatives.
I disagree about oVirt having lots of negatives.
You guys were attempting to use the wrong tool for the job.@scottalanmiller said in Testing oVirt...:
Remote management of multiple KVM sites.
Perfect job for virt-manager

So this is ridiculous, but we just found out that it is actually 2003 R2, not 2000. So I assume that this will be way better.
2003 R2 def works, I've had to do it twice.
I installed the Spice guest tools before doing the conversion. -
