@Bill-Kindle Good point. Government at all levels has grown rather "big" lately.

RE: Zoho ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus is Now Free!
@Katie said:
It wasn't intended to be a helpdesk, but rather a sales tool. Sort of an off-market use.
Without writing our own software, we just have to make do with a middle ground solution. No solution is going to be a perfect fit unless we do the developing, unfortunately.

I bought a box of Tim Horton's K-cups at Bed, Bath, and Beyond here in FL recently.
Oh cool! I will have to look at our BB&B to see if I can find it. I'm definitely stocking up on Tim Horton's beans the next time I pass one.

RE: A name has become necessary
From The Alternative Spanish Dictionary:
mango (noun, masc.)
very sexy man (Mex. Spanish); This term actally refers to the enticing taste of the tropical fruit. An example of its usage: "Chihuahua!!! Mire a ese mango!!!"
mango de manila (phrase)
sexy woman (Mexican slang)http://www.datapacrat.com/True/LANG/REAL/dictiona/SPANISH.HTM

Grey would be happy with an official kilt theme for the guys.
And I'm not opposed to an official plaid skirt for the girls.
You and your plaid fetish, lol.

RE: Metadata does mean something RE: NSA scandal
@Dashrender said:
Steve Gibson of GRC.com has been saying this about metadata for years in his podcast Security Now!
He definitely mentioned it again and again while covering all this craziness from the NSA. He's definitely said on more than one occasion that metadata can possibly be worth more than the phone calls themselves because of the patterns that can be found.
Which is, of course, why the NSA wants this data in the first place. If they couldn't use it for profiling, they wouldn't be collecting it.

Time for some Timmy Ho's!
I miss them. I haven't seen one in Texas. Then again, they're a Canadian chain. Really only recently made it into the Syracuse area. Before that it was Buffalo and Rochester was about it.
Don't bother to look. There definitely are no Tim Horton's in TX. Way too far south.

RE: Overzealous Prosecutor = Ruin 18 year olds life
This is horrible. I feel so badly for this kid. This should be thrown out of court, he's definitely been through enough already. Also, the fact that the prosecutor threatened him and his lawyer for the change.org petition? Unethical, and a further violation of his rights. The sad fact is that I expect that the case won't be thrown out because this is typical small-town America B.S.. I do think that kids in schools need to be protected, however, once the situation was investigated (beyond the whole searching his car without a warrant) the charges should have been dropped.

RE: Performance Issues AutoCAD 2014
What did Autodesk support say? I believe that they have access to support with their license level. You should definitely check with the software vendor, as they are more likely to have seen similar issues than Dell support.

RE: Lost power for a sec...
@Minion-Queen Yes, it appears so. The sun is brightly shining here. It's actually a really nice day, aside from the wind and cold.

RE: Incompetent People Too Ignorant to Know It
I also feel like the conclusion seems obvious, but I can see how those with no ability for self-reflection wouldn't be aware that they do this. I did like the point about the democratic process - that the average person doesn't have any knowledge of politics or issues, and so doesn't understand for what they are voting. I'm in support of having to take a test before voting (can be verbal for those that are illiterate but informed) and I would probably fail it.

Lost power for a sec...
Hope it's a one time thing, but it's so darn windy here.

RE: Ninite Alternative
I was looking at Chocolatey for a while, but never had the time or energy to implement it.

RE: Virtual Machines WINDOWS XP MODE
I find it so frustrating when an application is "vital" to a company's business, but they don't want to pay to update it so that it works on a current OS. Maybe not the case here, but a pretty common issue, especially in SMB.

RE: What are you listening to? What would you recommend?
@Joyfano Those are good for when I can't fall asleep and need something relaxing. Not so good for staying awake at work, though!

RE: Who is Eating Mangoes?
@Joyfano None of the ones I've chosen have been ripe. They were hard most of the way through.

RE: Webroot
I didn't really know much about Webroot before this discussion, but I have to say it sounds really cool. I especially like the cooperative nature of how it finds new threats. I definitely want to hear more from those of you that demo it.

RE: Who is Eating Mangoes?
I've never purchased a fresh mango and liked it, however, when I have mangoes out at a restaurant, I always like them, so I think that my problem is mainly, I don't know how to pick a good mango.
