@AdamF I like the idea of a Raspberry Pi with MeshCentral as an agent for remote access.

User Profile Discs
I'm looking for recommendations for User Profile Disks. I currently Have 4 RDS servers (host-based, not VDI) in a farm and have previously implemented User Profile Disks. UPD's worked great all being served up from a standard VM file server, until our user base grew to well over 100 people logging in every morning all at once. What's happening is every morning between 8-9 AM, there are so many people loading up their profiles that everything essentially freezes on all of the RDP hosts until the VM serving UPD's can catch up.
I've been researching best practices for load balancing for our user profile discs and have seen some saying that Scale Out File Server is the way to go. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience in a situation like this? I want to make sure I have this set up in such a way that it can scale further in the future if I need it.

RE: Meshcentral future uncertain
So unfortunate. I've become quite reliant on MeshCentral over the past couple of years.

RE: User Profile Discs
The entire network is running 10Gb fiber. All RDP hosts are separated by only one switch. The Network isn't saturated by any means. I'm thinking that it's a issue with the storage on the server that's hosting the UPDs. It's a 4-disk raid 10 with WD 7200 RPM Enterprise drives. I just want to make sure the next move I make will take care of this issue and allow me to scale up a bit more as we add more users.

MeshCentral Request: Email Alerting
I've discovered and began using MC because of the many discussions here on this forum. I deployed it within my company and it has been working great. If I could add one thing though it would be email alerting on agent connect/disconnect. This would be extremely useful to monitor critical servers and infrastructure. I can set web notifications for groups but haven't seen any way to get those alerts via email.

RE: Headsets for customer service using Yealink phones?
We use the Plantronics CS540 and EHS36 adapter with T4x phones. Have had no issues at all with them.

RE: Favorite VoIP Conference Room phone?
@JasGot I have a couple customers using the CP960 with wireless mics. They are awesome. They work great for large conference rooms or spaces but another really awesome feature is the mute button on each of the mics.

RE: MeshCentral - Anyone tried this?
@scottalanmiller Only 10 users on mine but it is great to hear that it scales up well beyond my current needs. Glad I ran across your original post on here about MC and decided to give it a try.

RE: Mikrotik software firewall/router?
I run my entire data center and many of my clients on MikroTik switches and routers. I've been using them for years. I was introduced to them about twelve years ago when I started working at a small ISP that ran their entire operation using MikroTik. I've had almost zero issues with them. Highly recommended.

RE: Mikrotik software firewall/router?
@Pete-S I use the RB2011, RB3011 primarily for routing and I use the Cloudswitch PoE switches for switching.

RE: Login issues with some RDP users
I had the same black screen problem with RDS on Server 2016 a few years ago and the issue ended up being the Webroot antivirus we had installed.

RE: Mikrotik software firewall/router?
@PhlipElder Odd that you had stability issues. When properly configured I've never had any issues at all besides the occasional lightning strike back in the day on the PtP sites. When used in controlled environments they have world-class stability and reliability. At least that's been my experience with the 500+ that I've worked with.

@Mario-Jakovina I have a couple of those but have been having trouble sourcing then lately. Yes, it is an upgrade from the other two I use primarily.

RE: Mikrotik software firewall/router?
@JaredBusch Yes! We were primarily a WISP but also ran DNS and email servers, as well as web hosting. I became so familiar with MikroTik routing working that job that when I went out on my own it was an easy choice to continue using them.

220 agents on mine running in a Vultr instance. Working flawlessly for well over a year now.
