Is that the correct IP address? They do change every time you reimage the VM...

What is a "good" average? On my Dev1 box, I'm seeing 8.41%. On my Dev3 box, I'm seeing 4.45%.

I wonder if there's a DDoS in progress. Maybe I pissed of the folks in HK when I blocked all of their SSH attempts in iptables?

RE: CloudatCost Issuesposted in IT Discussion
I'm also having trouble with my C@C Dev1 box. I'm unable to connect via SSH, Yum install via web console throws errors, etc.

RE: CloudatCost 60% coupon & BIg Dog Server Giveaway + 5 Dev serversposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller -- I got an error the first time I tried it. Turns out that the code when copied from the initial post contained a leading and trailing space. Once I removed those, the system accepted the code just fine.

Got a coupon error here too.
We're you attempting an upgrade or making a new purchase?

I've never done it, but I could see where it could occur often. If they can't get the order correct, then you shouldn't have to pay IMO.
P.S. Burger King is the worst!

however many years of fast food have told me there is a very strict no refund policy even on messed up orders.
Isn't that what charge backs are for?

You should make the coupon code valid for server upgrades as well!

@scottalanmiller -- Not sure that I could do it justice with a review. Install was really easy, which met my needs as a Linux-neophyte. You can view screen shots on their home page.
I'd be happy to (try to
) answer any specific questions that you may have. -

@IRJ -- Can't speak to the monthly fee as I've only done the one time fee thus far. I suspect they will honor it going forward, but you would need to confirm that with them.

RE: A List of Free and Open Source Control Panelsposted in News
Just took a quick glance, and Kloxo doesn't support Centos 6 / 7, so it appears to be rather out of date. FWIW, VestaCP does support Centos 6.5 and they are supposed to be working on Centos 7 compatibility.

Another one to look at is VestaCP. I'm currently using it on my C@C box. Love the one-click install!

Sites are still not accessible from Florida.

RE: Cloudatcost currently offlineposted in IT Discussion
I can now log into my panel, which shows that both of my boxes are up and running. However, I still can't connect to them.

RE: Cloudatcostposted in IT Discussion
Ok... so at least this helps me verify that monitor.us still works after injecting CloudFlare into the mix.

Seems like their reverse DNS isn't working out of the box.

The Static IP should stay the same even when re-imaging the instance.
Or at least give you the choice to either keep or change it.
