My recent UAP-AC-PRO acquisition was a bust. Atrocious throughput compared to its predecessor. I went through all the settings per best practices. There's quite a lengthy thread on the subject over at the UBNT forums. Pretty disappointing.Ah, I would not have seen that issue, because I have only used the UAP-AC-LITE so far. That LITE doe snot (and is not advertised to get) 1300mbps.
Sounds like the clients just don't have MIMO or enough streams to saturate it.
I'm testing with a 3x3 Thinkpad.
@JaredBusch I'll check again. I tried the beta that was available about 8 or 10 days ago with no improvement. Not sure if there is a more recent one.

Odd, but I wouldn't count on it taking that long. My refunds get issued as soon as the label gets scanned at the carrier facility.

Troubleshooting Unitrends backups. Again. ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)
We have a Unitrends Expert on staff here @ NTG. Ask @art_of_shred if you need anything.
Cool, good to know, thanks. Probably nothing that I need to drag in reinforcements on just yet.
I'm muddling through this myself. My week in a nutshell:
Everyone loves ELK! I should love ELK! ELK!
I hate ELK.
Graylog! It's a Splunk killer! Easy! Pretty! Graylog!
I hate Graylog.
Everyone still loves ELK! I should still love ELK! ELK?
I still hate ELK.
Icinga! Opsview! Fluentd! AlienVault/OSSIM! ELK!?
Wait. Why am I doing this? I just need syslog. Add parsing/searching/dashboards later.
I love syslog-ng!
/week
Moral of this story:
Define your needs before diving down the logging rabbit hole. As nice as ELK, etc, can be, they take a lot of work and planning to produce the polished niceness that you see on display all over the webs. I promise that writing filters, learning grok, and parsing complex non-RFC-compliant-syslog is not something that can be done in an afternoon. Instead of jumping to the end of the line, start at the beginning (solid syslog server) and add layers as needed. Lord knows every one of these tools can be weaved in with the others later.

We did a wiki for awhile but I was the only one in my department who could be bothered to actually use it (come on guys, Markdown is not that hard). So we used Evernote Business for awhile and have now settled on a shared OneNote. It works pretty well, and the search works great, but still, I'm typically the only one entering new documentation into it. But that's a people problem, not a platform problem.
@gjacobse hrmm... Well, I have a fresh copy of Ubuntu 14.04.4 Server Edition. On futuristic Compact Disc!!!
Burning Ubuntu 14 Server Ed to a SEA DEE! What is this, the dark ages?!?!
The AirCheck tool sounds pretty intriguing. How does it compare to something like Wi-Spy (MetaGeek's USB dongle that works with their InSSIDer/Chanalyzer product)?
