Have not see that issue but I'm also using mongodb that is available from Fedora instead.
/var/lib/mongo/
doesn't exist for me. But/var/lib/mongodb
does exist. I also do have local.ns too./sigh
FFS @jaredbusch pay attention to what you are doing. don't use old versions.
Long day when you have to sigh and FFS at yourself.

Usually creating a new Outlook profile fixes things.
Long term fix is of course using something other than Outlook.
Good luck with that if you are in the MS ecosystem.

RAID 5 is still a solid choice. At sixtreen drives, though, I might start wanting to consider RAID 6. That's a lot of drives.
Certainly seems odd to not KNOW the answer to this question before you make a purchase.
When I hear "picked up" and "lab" I'm not thinking purchase. Or at least not an important one.

RE: Outlook / Exchange Online launch issue
We had to do some weird voodoo to get our Autodiscover to work in a hybrid scenario.

I honestly can't remember what I had to do the one time I did a hybrid setup, as it's been about 3 years. What did you have to do?
I create a folder on the local hard drive stipulating what servers to look to.
I also create registry entries to force Outlook to use the local file first.

RE: Webroot Freezing Windows 10
Official info from my updated ticket...
The issue you are having with Webroot on the endpoints with Sandy Bridge processors and the Meltdown / Specter patch is a known issue that is reportedly fixed in our upcoming 9.0.20.xx release.
While on the call, I mentioned the possibility of installing a previous version of Webroot and not allowing it to update, but this workaround is no longer considered a reliable one.
What did work was running this command from an elevated prompt:
bcdedit /set debug on
But then when 9.0.20.xx is released, you will want to turn this setting off:
bcdedit /set debug off
The affect of this setting being on is the possibility of a local account or network account with permissions to the endpoint being able to run debugging commands and being a potential vulnerability. Short term you should be fine, but you would not want this on indefinitely.

Why are you deploying 1709 when 1803 is due any day?
https://pureinfotech.com/windows-10-redstone-4-version-1803-new-features/
I like to live on the edge.
lol I see that. 1703 is pretty old now.
Nothin for nothin, but ...
...considering 1709 (09, not 03) has been out for six months now and it still having issues, I'm not so sure jumping on 1803 as soon as it releases is that great an idea. -
Current Status of SEO
I saw an article yesterday titled something to the effect of "The 30 Minute Crash Course to Keyword Selection" from Moz.
In the comments sections, it was an interesting mix of people basically saying either "wow what a great article" or "SEO is dead the only way to get traffic is by paid advertising" ... typical of an Internet comment page.
I know from past ML threads and also talking with people offline that there is a bit of a mix here as well. Some of you think any concept of designing around SEO is meaningless, and SEO itself is snake oil selling at best. Though some of you have also supported it.
So, just curious here in April of 2018: what do you think? Is it vital to today's marketing? Or is it dead. (If you believe it ever even was alive.)
If you had a friend who came to you and said "I want to do SEO and online marketing" what would you say to them?

What is the point of OneDrive if you cant mount it as a drive letter easily?
Someone please explain. It seems absoultely horrible. Why woudl you want it as a drive letter? The drive letter is an old holdover that isn't very good. You can mount OneDrive as a folder which is better most of the time.
Assuming that OneDrive syncing actually works, which generally it is pretty poor.
I find OneDrive itself (the consumer one) works great.
ODfB, though ... LOOKOUT!

I think my original tech went home.
Maybe that is part of the conspiracy.
They have lives, too.
They are supposed to pass the case on. That is what I have experienced in the past. It actually works very well.

RE: Potential Office365 (Exchange Online) Throttling Issue
So the new tech said this is definitely a throttling issue, and he also issued a command to allow the mail to be uploaded unthrottled. We will see if HIS command works.

RE: Potential Office365 (Exchange Online) Throttling Issue
Shockingly nothing has changed. He did say it might take two hours to propagate. I guess changes made over the Internet from India to MS are sloooooooow.

RE: Potential Office365 (Exchange Online) Throttling Issue
If they would just open the pipe up for a few days for me, this would be so simple.
They said they can, but I am not confident they know what they are talking about since they both said they did it to no avail.
