@ccwtech No, most of us spin up a virtual machine and install the controller on it.

They should open source the agent and let the community help keep it updated.

RE: Download more RAM
I remember... They we're really big around Windows 95 Era. Turn unused hard disk space into ram.

RE: Ubiquiti publicly rolls out UNMS Beta
I have mine on Vultr on a 1024MB 1vcpu instance. It runs fine, but I only have a handful of devices connected to it.

RE: Anyone know a place that sells booted Cat6 in feet: 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, etc?
First thought is to look at monoprice.com and see what they offer.

RE: Ubiquiti - piss poor customer service
The fact that you don't have a date code screams that they sold you a beta version of it even if it is released to sale now. You need to go through the reseller.

RE: Ubiquiti - piss poor customer service
I read that, and stand by my statement... my RMA with them for a switch took 3.5 weeks...

RE: Ubiquiti - piss poor customer service
With Ubiquiti, if you are within the reseller return period that is the easiest, fastest way to get a product replaced.

@jaredbusch Maybe it was never best practice, probably just bad advice from SW for having a single host? I can't remember for sure.
That is entirely likely. SW people love to say that you should never domain join because you cannot log in if the guests fail. Just WTF. There is always the original local adminsitrator account on the hypervisor.
and cached credentials.

Got Damn.... this whole thread needs to realize that the police are always out to get anything they can on anyone, anytime. Don't play into their game. Don't feed the beast.
That is why I turn my phone off whenever I get pulled over so it requires a password to unlock instead of my fingerprint. No need to give them any information that is not required by law.

Clearly has no idea how to write software. This question makes no sense if he had any idea what he was asking. How does anything he mentioned play into his question?
Reminds me of users who give me a 5 minute life-story of irrelevant information when describing their problem.
I can't stand people who won't stop talking long enough for me to tell them how to fix their problem.

Maybe you need to search better?
The search is really bad on this platform, unless you spend a few extra minutes adjusting all the options and use better search terms.
I tend to use tags more for searching.
but google works really well with "site:mangolassi.it"

RE: VoIP Taxes - Are you paying them?
I thought Voip.ms was a Canadian company with offices in the US as well.

KVM VM Replication
I may be asking this prematurely, I'm about to start playing around with KVM. Is there a replication feature similar to HyperV replication baked into KVM natively?
