Ugh... join.me sucks! We're using Screen Connect for remote work (works very well), and Skype for internal stuff like screen-sharing and presenting. Skype for Business is ok, but it has a number of limitations that make good old Skype a better option. I use WebEx for a number of things, and for the most part, I like it. I think I like Skype better, though, as it's not as complicated to use and doesn't really have a reason to be. I know you can record on WebEx. Not sure about Skype. Never tried. And LMI priced itself out of the picture, and with no advantage, as the service went downhill anyway.

The girls (@Minion-Queen and @jenuinecase ) are gone for the day, scoping out another possible venue for Mango-Con 2016, so I am more or less alone for the day...

No, but @art_of_shred would know. He's been standing by it lot this week.
I can't hear it over the Dell switches, if that's what you mean.

@joy How did you up-vote that last post so fast?!? I don't even think my finger made it off the button from clicking "submit" yet. And you're on the other side of the planet? Dang.

RE: Ubiquiti / Dell switch compatibility issue:
@coliver I know what you're talking about. Some fiber connections have individual terminals for each line. These are composite cables; no option to flip anything.

I think it's mostly just that I have a really tall torso so the distance between the screen and my eyes is far above normal, making everything less comfortable to see without hunching over pretty hard. So, basically, you need a shorter chair.

RE: Online backup for servers
From what I understand, the time factor is more important than the cost, regarding Amazon Glacier, which is pretty deep storage. How quickly you need to recover could put that out of the running, depending on what your RTO window is.

I'm confused. What's the point of being a moderator, if you can't wield that power to quell dissent?
Well then you're failing miserably
Watch it buddy! Where's that meme? Do you want to get moderated? Cause that's how you get moderated. Somebody go fetch!

RE: Windows 7 Product Key Issue
The root issue is that we were scrambling to find a usable Win7 Pro-64 image, and the only one I could find was one that we had used for a customer with a VL. The current customer that we used the image for does not have a VL for Win7, and MS no longer offers it as a product. We are kinda stuck now, so is there a clean way out, or do we have to eat it and re-image with another OS?

RE: The Great Pizza Debate...
If you drink 2 week old milk, it's not "today's milk". Ergo, it's not "Friday's pizza". You're denoting freshness, not what day today is.

Wrong. It's not a mathematical equation.
Why not? More safety good, less safety bad? More is better than less. What makes it not an equation?
Because geopolitics does not boil down to simple math.
