I know its a technical how-to, but its a shame it doesn't at least touch on why you might want to deploy Server 2016 and Hyper-V as a role rather than just installing Hyper-V standalone.

Got Korora 25 XFCE running on an Acer Aspire E5-511. Want to do a refresh on it, but I'm going to wait until Korora 26 I think.

RE: Windows Nextcloud Client Log file
The Server Administration Manual suggests the log file should be in the data directory.
The logfile of Nextcloud is located in the data directory nextcloud/data/nextcloud.log.

I've read about Netwrix as well, however I'm critical on those I install on my servers
Topic in SW:
https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1967683-free-file-auditing-softwareI've just started using Netwrix on my file servers, seems to work really well and doesn't have much overhead. It can email alert if there are a large number of changes. Fully searchable and can use SQL as a database backend if you have one already setup. If not it uses I believe an access database (don't hold me to that).
It uses the window auditing log to get info about the changes which means its trying to engineer anything new in and will setup the auditing for you on install.
Was really quick to setup and come in fairly cheap
Goes back to lerking...
How much use is this without the "who" functionality?

I'm sure there was an appropriately angry letter.

RE: SpaceX Preparing to Build Low Earth Orbit High Speed Network
I bet you didn't know there is a UN Office for Outer Space Affairs. Specifically, the Outer Space Treaty (1966) says
*the exploration and use of outer space shall be carried out for the benefit and in the interests of all countries and shall be the province of all mankind;
*outer space shall be free for exploration and use by all States;
*outer space is not subject to national appropriation by claim of sovereignty, by means of use or occupation, or by any other means;
*States shall not place nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction in orbit or on celestial bodies or station them in outer space in any other manner;
*the Moon and other celestial bodies shall be used exclusively for peaceful purposes;
*astronauts shall be regarded as the envoys of mankind;
*States shall be responsible for national space activities whether carried out by governmental or non-governmental entities;
*States shall be liable for damage caused by their space objects; and
*States shall avoid harmful contamination of space and celestial bodies. -

Obviously the chicken and egg question comes in from a marketing point of view.
Who will see anything I toot out? But Twitter had the same stigma until it hit some critical mass of popularity.
Very true. So far, not sure how to even find toots on a Mastodon system if I'm not signed onto one. Anyone seen a public stream anywhere?
There is a public stream API, but I don't know of a website that shows it. I use Tusky on Android and can reach it from there.

@Minion-Queen @DustinB3403 And even if mastodon.social is closed, they would encourage you to look to any of the other instances with open registration.
I'm currently @aidan_walsh@mastadon.social, though I have been thinking of creating my own single account instance.
EDIT: Forgot to link the instances list.

RE: Apple Completely Redesigning the Mac Pro Again
@scottalanmiller According to John Grubers piece on it they designed themselves into a corner
But they were forthcoming about the fact that the current Mac Pro isnโt meeting the needs of all the users who need a Mac Pro. Federighi:
"I think we designed ourselves into a bit of a thermal corner, if you will. We designed a system with the kind of GPUs that at the time we thought we needed, and that we thought we could well serve with a two GPU architecture. That that was the thermal limit we needed, or the thermal capacity we needed. But workloads didnโt materialize to fit that as broadly as we hoped.
Being able to put larger single GPUs required a different system architecture and more thermal capacity than that system was designed to accommodate. So it became fairly difficult to adjust. At the same time, so many of our customers were moving to iMac that we saw a path to address many, many more of those that were finding themselves limited by a Mac Pro through next generation iMac. And really put a lot of our energy behind that." -
