Open Source MS Project Alternatives

I'm wanting to test out some project management applications for my company. Being on my current anti Microsoft kick since their pointless SAM audit, I was wondering what open source alternatives people have used or recommend.

Same situation, including the SAM audit, after 10 weeks still waiting for the answer..

A few weeks ago I installed ProjectLibre to one colleague, not intense use but He says the product is fine, and easy to use.

Best feature is the possibility to open Ms Project files.

I'll have to look at libreproject , I came across libreplan, but it looks like it hasn't been updated since Ubuntu 10 lts
