Is windows 10 ready for domain workstation for Win2008 R2?
-
Our domain controller is Windows 2008 R2 and some users asked why aren't we upgrading to Windows 10 yet. I told them to prevent the issue with compatibility. I like to know if Windows 10 is ready for Domain workstations yet?
I've been using Windows 10 for couple of months with little to no error at all. Most of the problems I have already been resolved. Any feedback from any admin with Windows 10 in their environment?
EDIT: We plan on upgrading to Win2012 R2 or Win 2016 R2 (if it release anytime soon) next year.

Yes, why wouldn't it be?
Domain Conttollers OS doesn't matter the Functional level of the domain is only thing that would matter (and that would only matter if you are at 2000 or below). You get more features if you raise the functional level though. Also be sure to update your Group Policy central store.

I type this from Win 10 joined to Win 2008 R2 domain. I have no issues at all, and I have not seen any issues with other PCs on my network.

I've deployed Win10 to two user so far for testing. Everything has worked well so far. I plan to do the major upgrade this spring.
