Reliable All-in-Ones?
-
Guys/Gals,
What are some reliable network all-in-one printer/fax/copier models? A black and white is typical in most locations but a color model would also be welcomed.
The machines will be used in an office setting of a warehouse so they will be exposed to quite a bit of dust and grime. Users per site range from 3-4 to 10-15, currently using a multitude of smaller printers.
They also love WiFi printing to all ends, but the residential ink sponges they bought at OfficeDepot as they needed them are just a pain to support. I wasn't around when all this was purchased, trying to make smarter purchases moving forward.
Things such as ease of use, duty cycle (20k+), networking ease, etc. I have to walk non-technical guys through setting these up.
I appreciate any feedback, do you guys have any obvious choices that come to mind?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: What do you do at your Corporate offices for multiple users? We have way too many small printers on desks. The big all-in-ones they have they under utilize and can't do things such as scan to email.

I currently have a Brother MFC-9970CDW which I love. It is a networked all in one. Very easy to network and setup (the software is very easy to use to setup the network etc.). You have the ability to close up the auto feeder for the scanner copier so very little dust will get in there. I can set it up to scan to my desktop from the printer,or to usb, email or a even a server or from software on my desktop.
I have had this for a little over a year and have had no issues at all with it.

We've started using Brother more and more overall and are very happy with them.

That is a sweet piece of hardware you got there! The initial price point might scare my supervisors.
Exactly what I had in mind though!

I really am very happy with this printer and an inexperienced person can easily be walked through setting it up and networking it.

Reliable all-in-one printer. Military intelligence. Jumbo shrimp.

This pretty much sums it up.

Oxymoron quite possibly, but recently had a run in with an HP Photosmart 6520 that won't even see the broadcast SSID or accept the manually supplied SSID and WPA key.
Everyone has a different printer was hoping to find something bulky enough to cut out the majority of the "personal" printers and give the salesman the functionality they need. I think @Minion-Queen delivered.

I have an iPad that is now requiring a username and a password on my standard WPA network. ug.

The Epson Workforce series have proven to be quite reliable. We replaced our Brother with a WF2540 model (ink jet). Only con is we haven't found the right aftermarket ink for color.

I like HP but PhotoSmart are jokes for a business network. Cheap and unreliable. And crazy expensive to operate.

Lies we tell others.
Check's in the mail.
Just the tip baby.

Take a look at the OfficeJet Pro X line. It's a pretty beefy color all-in-one with decent cost per page, scan to SMB/USB/email, fax, fax-to-email, and more. I have an X576dw, and it's been a delight to use.

We use Lanier MP301. they are rock solid.. but they aren't cheap either.

I have to say the plus on the Brother MFC-9970 is that it is a laser printer that is not an ink hog. I have done a total of 15,000 color pages and 150,000 black and have only put in new toner once.

300 reams of paper on a single cartridge? How big is the cartridge, and what's your coverage percentage?

Here is the toner it takes:
http://www.staples.com/Brother-TN-315BK-Black-Toner-Cartridge-High-Yield/product_889862?externalize=certonaThey say 6000 pages but I have gotten a ton more. I do use Economy mode but that is not what I was expecting.

With all due respect, I'm going to call the BS flag. There's no way you could have pulled 2500% more pages out of a single cartridge.

All depends on what you print. As that recent study showed, even just changing a font can save like 1%. If you only print a little text or print images, it will easily change by many times more than 2,500%.
