I don't think it's legal to show one amount on the checkout page then charge the payment another amount. They will not refund it however This is all they will say when I said something about the payment charge being different than the invoice.
It's not legal, it's called false advertising. It's a well established illegal trade practice.

Yep. I've contacted them several times about it being ilegall and they need to refund me the different. I mean really it's less than $10? Come on. It's not that the money is a big deal it's the moral of it.
They are now telling me to go to this page and nothing more https://www.godaddy.com/agreements/showdoc.aspx?pageid=CIVIL_SUBPOENA for their legal department contact. They charge you for $75/hr to get any information even in response to a court order.

If they refuse the refund, just go to the credit card company and report the fraud.

On a positive note A Small orange, has been great. They seem to have great customer service.

We've been really happy with them.

I know I am a little late to the party, but I can tell you why you paid full price. The promotional code does NOT apply to paypal. In order to get the deal, you have to put a CC on file. I have been through the same thing as you many times with Goddady. Just FYI the automatic renewal on the $.99 deal is $30

Good to know. But, there terms don't state that. It should. Still seems illegal.

I figured it out by trial and error. I have bought 10 or so different domains this way. You should have seen the price jump from $.99 to $10 after you changed the payment type.

It didn't just took me to paypal, which was an agreement not a purchase for some reason. So the amount didn't show on the paypal page.
