Video games!

There's no specific video game category yet so I am taking it upon myself (as the person most appropriate to do so) to create a thread about them. So... we'll start with the basics.
Who plays them?
How many you got?
Favorite console?
Favorite game on said console?I'll go first!
I play them... ALL of them.
1,503 (not counting digital downloads or the arcade roms on my MAME cabinet.)
Super Nintendo
Three way tie between Link to the Past, Yoshi's Island, and Super Mario RPG. -
I just donated my old XBOX 360 and some games to Goodwill. I haven't consoled for a while. Like about 2 years now. COD on Live just got out of hand for me and all the cheat mods.
Now that Steam has most of the games I like to play I'm heading back to PC as soon as I get a better rig. In the meantime, I watch Cine Massacre and reminiscence about the crappy games I used to play on Nintendo and Sega Genesis.
May NSFW , but that glove did suck.

And don't forget Virtual Boy!
Again, NSFW

SNES might be my favorite console.

Fav games?
Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Quest VIII
Mass Effect

I'm a Gamer!
Somewhere around 600 different games have passed through my possesion.
PlayStation 2 or Gamecube would be my favorite actual console, although PC is my preffered platform.
As a favorite, I will never decide between Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX ( @scottalanmiller you actually purchased the first copy of said game for me several years ago ), Shadow of the Colossus, or Gran Turismo 4. -
PS2 was definitely awesome. GC was weak but had a lot if great games. Dreamcast was pretty sweet.

dang @awkward-gamer you have a lot of games.....
I have been a gamer a long times, mostly play multiplayer FPS.
It all started back with Counter-Strike .66 Beta on the PC, kept playing that for about 4-5 years and moved into another Half-Life mod (Team Fortress Classic) for a few more years.
Then when I joined the U.S. Navy I need something more portable so I got a Gaming laptop and played World of Warcraft for 5 years or so. Then moved into console gaming with Halo series, Call of Duty series, and Battlefield series.
Been console ever since. I haven't had the time or money to keep up with upgrading a PC to play top of the line games with max settings.

Stopped playing console games a few years back. I occasionally play Warzone tower defense from MindJolt, and a few Android games.

I seem to bounce back and forth. Right now we are using a PC for games for the kids (they are Steam addicts for graphical adventure games.) Our plan is to build a nice game rig to hook to the big screen so that we can play serious games that way.
For the past few years I've played almost exclusively console games just because. 360 is my favorite platform. Fable, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, etc. I don't get lots of time to play so like to make it count when I do.

I left COD after the original. It was okay but not something I wanted to keep up with. I haven't done the multiplayer FPS thing in a decade. We used to play Quake 2, Quake 3 Arena and COD long ago.
