I have a feeling that a lot of Americans are going to be wondering why we've been working hard to keep China from dominating the South China Sea. Seems like a waste of resources to me. Make China promise not to do environmental damage in exchange for letting them control it. Everyone wins, done.

Several actually; most impressively (to me) they've never invaded a foreign country... in thousands of years. They get a bum rap quite often in the press for human rights abuses, corruption, and other (deserved) stuff.
Aren't they still squabbling over ownership rights in the middle of some ocean, somewhere. Actively developing it into a military base?
Yes, that's the Spratleys. China and the Philippines are actively engaged over it with the US heavily keeping China from exerting claim over it. But the Philippines made it VERY clear that our assistance is not desired whatsoever. I say we leave them to deal with China on their own. Why do we care?
But China is also actively arguing with South Korea and Japan over other islands in the South China Sea also.
Some they have no valid claim over such as the Senkaku. Claiming 14th century discovery is not the same as maintaining control. Yes Japan took them over, but such is reality.
Well the others, sure, but the Spratleys I think are just the Philippines.

Wells Fargo refunded the fees to the harmed customers, in a payment totaling $2.6 million, with $25 in refunds per customer on average. The company also said it would invest in “enhanced team-member training and monitoring and controls” and focus on performance goals based on customer satisfaction.
can we say class action lawsuit. They should be getting a lot more than just their $25 back! holy hell!

And In addition to the $100 million fine the CFPB levied on it, Wells Fargo will also have to pay the City and County of Los Angeles $50 million as well as a $35 million fine to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Hey we had to discover this crime, pay me so I can buy the 2017 Corvette!
The fines are just insane if you ask me. Where does that extra 85 million go, what is it used for?

You wouldn't even have to hack them, just get a remote that uses the same frequency and you could pilot them.

9/11 means almost nothing to a lot of people now. The US is a huge country and this event, while horrible, directly affected a very small amount of people.
Humans are designed to forget (probably wrong word, I am not a psychologist) and move on when things do not directly affect them.
9/11 means nothing to many people except that our government did some very illegal things like invading another country under false pretenses.
9/11 means nothing to other people except that the government took advantage of fear and took away or restricted/reduced many freedoms the U.S. citizens had prior to then.
9/11 was 15 years ago. There are children now in high school that have no memory of this event other than dry history classes.
For people my age, but removed from the events, 9/11 is a tragedy, and not something to make fun of. But still something that only affects me because of the wars affecting our economy at a high level and TSA at the airports. But you know what, that does not mean I can shit on someone who feels differently. They are allowed to feel differently.

Not sure why this is considered shocking. Two people fall asleep after shooting up... no one is hurt, no one is dead. It's just two junkies passed out. It's not pretty, but it is far from shocking.
