Weird 0365 Migration (or maybe i'm just weird)
-
Client is housed in a VDI environment from a provider. provider currently provides VDI, and hosted exchange. VDI is going away, so is hosted email. Here's my question... How would you migrate this client? 60 ish users all email is currently within VDIs, so no local mail.. . . ... I don't do a lot of o365 migrations, and the ones I've done have been small and easy. 60 isn't large...but what would you do?
Current provider obviously isn't playing nice. They will provide me with a disk copy of their PSTs.... big help

What version of Exchange are they running on...?
-
So... The customer has an email provider that only allows mail access through virtual desktops. So you won't be able to find connection information or anything like that?
-
that's not the only way they are allowed, that's just how they are currently configured.
and I'm pretty sure ex2010 @GregoryHall

I assume you have OWA access to the Exchange box?
In that regard and as a test against this host... Go setup a trial office 365 account for them and drill down to Exchange then Migrations.
Hit the three dots and try and setup the migration endpoint. if you can get that to hook up then you should be able to run the migration that way... -
Well, I did have OWA access.
Exchange 2007 and it's hosted with a multi-tenant company @GregoryHall

Greg, I was able to get the endpoint to pull the server info, but I didn't complete the "endpoint wizard" now going back it's not letting me create the endpoint. I think the provider may have revoked my admin status.

@Hubtech PM me the Office 365 login and I will take a quick peek.
