Nothing a little DYI can't do, maybe a trip to Home Depot for some wood, a metal strip, some screws, a Dremel, a made yourself hanger template and some magnets:

Agreed, you'd have to use rare earth magnets. it would only work as long as your closet isn't super crowded. in crowded closets, you pull one hanger and suddenly you're pulling several hangers down.

Yeah, would totally not work in the closets stuffed with stuff like @dominica does.

my wife has one entire bedroom for a closet/dressing room, and another closet in a guest bedroom for overflow. all my stuff fits in a 5 gallon bucket.
