If you are like us, we've found that the "retire device" command in InTune often does not work as advertised (or at all.) So it is needed to remove InTune from machines manually. Try this command to uninstall InTune.
```
cd "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\OnlineManagement\Common"
ProvisioningUtil /UninstallAgents /WindowsIntune
```
