Atom Editor and IDE

Anyone using Atom? How do you like it compared to Notepad++?
-
I am trying it out, it is installing right now. It's open source and free from GitHub and is very customizable so looks pretty interesting.

I just started reading a ruby on rails book, I was curious what you thought of http://www.sublimetext.com/ the dude in the book is raving about it.
Side note, I think I'll be doing all my trial and error in a VM, the windows software seems a bit like crap lol.

Sublime is good but it isn't free. Look at Notepad++ and Atom if you are going to look at text editors. If you want an IDE, look at RubyMine.
-
I've heard of Atom but have never tried it. I may see how it is compared to Notepad++ shortly.

Sublime text is where it's at. I love it.

I'm giving it try after giving up on Padre IDE. That app would always crash midway through editing. Notepad++ is good but still lacks some things I wish it had (like line highlighting) but is still good.

My choice is CodeLobster IDE
It works best for projects that use some framework. -
@scottalanmiller I like it. Very flexible
