While Forrest Gump may have made more money for Tom Hanks, and is a phenomenal movie, Shawshank is still in another league above it.

I cannot stand that movie. It is about evil people being evil to each other and makes no sense. Just horrible. It's everything that I dislike about hollywood. Just as much unhappiness rolled up into one movie as they can make.

You know that the Forest Gump bench is real and is in Las Colinas right down the road from you? The shot in the movie was filmed in Savannah but the studio that got to keep the bench is the Las Colinas Studios.

The way they tie in historical events all to one guy and follow his story, sad as it is, was extremely well done. I love it. A classic of my childhood.
