Quoting Keep Hanging
-
Ok, so I've had an issue over and over and over today where when I go to Quote a post, it hangs and it doesn't register the click, doesn't pull up the post box, etc. However, if I refresh, I can press Reply and start typing my response. If I try to tag someone, like @scottalanmiller , I can type the name without issue, and the tag works, but the suggestions don't come up like they should. This has happened to me at least half a dozen times I can readily think of today. I know the traffic on the site is high today, just based on the post count, etc, but are there performance issues right now?
Thanks,
A.J. -
Also, what's weird is that it won't work but a couple minutes goes by and it starts working again without issue for a little bit before it starts repeating the same issue.

I have been having this issue today as well.
Windows 8.1 using Chrome 37.0.2062.124.

Windows 8.1 on Chrome 38.0.2125.104

I have seen this, it normally goes away if I completely refresh by browser.

It keeps coming back though. Not sure what's going on.

My guess is that there is some sort of leak in the client side JavaScript.

It's happened a couple dozen times to me today. 1-2 browser refreshes usually fixes it, but it's quite irritating.

@ajstringham It was happening quite a bit yesterday... I would say 3-5 times. I noticed it was more likely to happen in very active threads or large thread (like the Anything Goes Thread).

happened to me last night, but a log out and login fixed it... hasn't returned

At one point yesterday, and only once, I actually was logged off and had to log back on. It was very random and annoying.

@ajstringham I'm pretty sure that it eventually logs you out - meaning that your account can only be logged in for so long. It's like every so many days your account will just log out once. I get it but it is rare.

Ok, it was just really random but if that happens, at least now I know about it.
