Original "V" Mini-Series

I decided to fire up the original "V" Mini-Series this week...I am quite impressed how the story holds up, Sure, it's the 80's and old special effects but the core of the story is humanity and fighting totalitarianism and most importantly, how to recognize it. The Final Battle still has some of this but went more for big action scenes (but you gotta love Michael Ironside.) The Weekly Series that followed (80s) had SOME merit early on but finally exhausted all good ideas (let alone, reused too many special effects shots...)...

You know, I have never actually seen that show. I have heard about it but it just never made it into my viewing cycle. Is it available on Netflix or anything?

It is not up for instant streaming per a streaming subscription. It can be purchased on Amazon Instant Video and XBOX Video or DVD.
It is well worth a viewing. Like I mentioned, overlook the aged special effects and 80's attire/hair. The root of the story is about how blind many people can be to totalitarianism. it is worth watching both V and V: The Final Battle...the weekly 80's series, as mentioned, started strong but ended very badly (IE badly written and acted)...
