MDM for 20 iPads?

Been looking at some MDMs to manage about 20 odd iPads.
Currently playing with Mosyle, which doesn't seem too bad, but ....
Any suggestions / recommendations.

I'll probably get the name wrong, but people tend to be really happy with JAMF.
Or something with JAM in the name.

JAMF is one, not sure on how well it works.

Jamf is really good. The best in the business for managing Apple gear. It is also one of the most expensive. They have a more inexpensive product that has fewer features, but might fit the bill. There are a few free ones as well. You're going to want to get started with the Apple side of things because they're not very fast or responsive, and you have to have their APNS set up before you can use any MDM on their devices.

Looks like they rebranded Bushel as Jamf Now. It is $2 (USD)/user/mo after the first three devices. You can try it for free though: https://www.jamf.com/products/jamf-now/.

Don't forget FleetSmith, too. They have a free version, plus you get 10 devices free on their non-free option. Then it is $8.25/mo for each additional after the ten, if you want the paid version.

All these prices just seem outrageous. Look at what you get for O365 for $5/u/m, look at what you get from Netflix for $10/m/family...
When Zix is $5/u/m I was like - WTF? it's just a "secure" webportal that sends out an email that a message is sitting on this web server - why is that so fraking expensive? hell, Zix themselves barely need much of an infrastructure, because the clients all have to have a Zix server on their own networks in front of their email servers....
The value just seems scewed to me... of course my opinion doesn't matter one iota,

In terms of Mac management, you get zero from Netflix or O365. So getting nothing for all that money, compared to getting what you need makes more sense. I have no idea how you are trying to draw a comparison between an email service, a movie service, and an EMM in pricing. They are unrelated.
That's like complaining about the cost of a car wash and saying it cost more than a hamburger. Sure, it might, but there is no relationship so the comparison is meaningless.

Simple question? Do you pay for it? Then it's good value to the person who decided that. So that's why it costs that much. Cost is set by the buyer, not the seller. The seller determines what someone must pay, the buyer determines what someone does pay. If something seems expensive, that's always incorrect if they have customers.

So compared to Microsoft's these prices are pretty cheap with free instead of $6 and $8.25 instead of either of the more expensive options.

Sure, there have been tools over the years that did that with free AV products. PowerShell should be able to do it, too.
