So I am going to get a new workstation for the office. (desktop)

I want to swap over to Fedora 28 or another flavor of Linux. I am coming from a MBP for my main work computer, and am used to having a great terminal (I hate putty for Windows), and like having a Unix based machine for managing all my Unix workloads. So, I don't think Windows is the right choice moving forward. So, Linux it is! The theme around here as of late is Fedora, so I'll give that a go.

I have a few key requirements:

      1. Must be able to use Screen Connect - For connecting to a remote PC for screen sharing. (does this work well in Fedora?)
      2. Password manager - 1Password. This is what I currently use, but am open to changing to something else if it is cross platform with Apple/Linux/Windows. (I've heard Dashlane is pretty good, and works on Linux)
      3. MS Teams - No native client for Linux as of now. Their web based UI is OK, but not perfect. It's what we use as a company, and we won't change it, so for now, I suppose I will use the web UI.
      4. I currently use MS Office, but have a 365 subscription, so online is fine, but sometimes I need more than online can handle. For that, I suppose I can just use Libre.
      5. If there are any tools I use that rely on Windows, I will just have a Windows VM (for managing Hyper-v, etc) via KVM or Virtual Box.

These are the only things that came to mind when deciding to swap over fully to Linux as my main work OS.

Bonus* I like a nice looking desktop. Clean, but good looking. I like the look of the Deepin desktop. Is there any desktop environment for Fedora that looks similar to Deepin?

I pretty much rely on a Windows VM for all my Windows needs. My VM autostart.

I use Fedora 28 to ScreenConnect to other machines. Works great.

No need for a Windows VM to manage Hyper-V. PowerShell and SSH work great. We actually find Windows PS management from Linux is more robust than from Windows.

Yes, but there are some SC to Linux issues:

Oh, and RDP I RDP from my MDP all the time now to Windows boxes. What is a good app for that on the Linux side?

                    On Fedora, I use Cinnamon.

Deepin is great, That's our secondary desktops.

That' sthe opposite. That's managing Fedora FROM ScreenConnect. But as the client, Feodra 28 is flawless.

1Password works great via Chrome or FFox

Please. please stay away from Dashlane. Pretty looking UI, absolute garbage for support. Ask me how I know!

Excellent. And what about the times where I would want to remote into my Fedora Desktop? What RDP style app is best for that?

I even opted for the "premium support", what a complete waste of time & money!
I had always been on 1Password, I saw the pretty Dashlane UI & decided to switch, oops, they had a bug on Chrome that took them almost 2 months to fix.
