Issues with Cumulative Update for Windows 10 1803
-
The cumulative update for Windows 10 1803 has caused some of the machines here to lose network connectivity after rebooting.
Attempts to renew ip address with
ipconfig /renew
fail with an error like
An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions
Running
netsh int ip reset
then rebooting again will solve the issue. Has happened on many computers here, but not all and not sure if it happens to others. -

I had to deal with one that couldn't use its docking station correctly after the 1803 install. Had to be removed from the dock to be powered on and the monitors stopped working.
