Caught by the Font: Pakistan's Prime Minister Falsifies Documents Using Calibri
-
The problem with millenials forging documents is that they tend to not care all that much about little bits of history. To those of us in IT (quick, see if you can answer this question... when was the Calibri font released?) it is pretty well known that the famous Calibri font was released by Microsoft in 2007 as part of the MS Office 2007 release (the same one that gave us our first look at the infamous ribbon.)
Well, in trying to prove where some assets came from, the Pakistani PM's daughter made some fake documents for him that were supposed to be from 2006 but were made with the Calibri font. Whoops, a full year before MS first made the font available to the public.
Instead of proving innocence, the PM is now in even hotter water.
