Intel Optane Memory Disks Hit the Market

Saw these at a pre-release event last year. Very cool technology involved. Can't wait till other companies get their hands on it and actually do something worthwhile.
-
What kind of price tag do they carry for those? I know the bigger ones are slated to be around $1500 - $2000 or so for like 375GB.

Like $77 for 32GB I think.

Dang, that's not too bad.

It's not that fast, either. Just a little better.
-
Now I just need a machine with M2 to put it in!
-
Great news. I can't wait to get the memory module version. Even PCIe bus holds Optane back performance wise!

From what I've heard so far, the interfaces storage is connected to is the big reason it's so much slower than the initially announced speeds. The big difference between Optane and Flash/SSD is that it hits it's max IOPS at very low queue lengths.

Yes the low queue lengths thing is a big deal for a lot of workloads.
