US DoJ Looking to Enforce H1-B Programs More Closely
-
The US Department of Justice is looking to scrutinize H1-B Visa hiring in the US more closely this year to ensure that those holding visas will not be provided an unfair advantage over workers from the US. US law states that country of origin or nationality or citizenship cannot be used as a basis for discrimination in hiring and H1-B violations are normally against the visa holders, not American citizens, but the process does go both ways and a crackdown on the system is expected soon.
The H1-B program primarily impacts science and technology fields.

Does this mean Disney will have to get rid of their Indian H1-B IT staff, and re-employ the good old 'merican boys (and girls) again?

Trying to stay out of the political murk, this is all I'll ask here. Do you believe anything the government claims?
