Google Home

So I bought a Google Home on Black Friday, and received it yesterday and set it up.
I don't have a picture of it out of the box yet. I'll get that soon.Thoughts so far:
I like it. The voice controls are intuitive. You set it up with an app on your phone (Google Home), which was very easy. You connect it to Wifi, etc with your phone, and the like. I was able to connect my Spotify account to it and use that as the default music player. However, if you want to use YouTube to stream music, you will need a YouTube Red subscription.
As it was just released, you cannot yet make or take calls through the bluetooth, and the responses you get from it (It uses the new Google Assistant) are slightly different that "Ok Google" on your Android phone, but that is currently in the works. One other thing I didn't like is I tried to add something to the household shopping list we use on Google Keep, and instead of using the existing list, it created a new one with Google Assistant. Still need to look into that.
We were having fun asking it silly questions last night. Ask it to tell you a joke or tell you a pickup line and you'll get some funny responses. Although the functionality is currently very limited, I have no doubts that soon it will be fully functional as intended. I will update next summer (assuming I remember) or maybe sooner, depending on results. Overall though, I'd say it's a great buy. Oh, and the sound quality on the speaker is pretty damn good for such a little thing!
Thanks,
A.J. -
I'm kinda regretting my Amazon Echo some days.
It's two years old and still has the hardest time answering questions.I wonder if the Google Home will be better at that out of the box?

I saw a video of some people comparing questions with the Echo vs the Home. It was a large reason I went with the Home. With Google, you can ask follow-up questions, like:
"What year did <insert movie> come out?" and then "who played in it?" and it will know you're still talking about the same subject. The Echo doesn't do that.

Also, someone did this that I find funny...

This was the video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrpaQN8TN6o

yeah the following up is cool and all - but I'm not talking about thinks like that. I'll have to try to remember to jot down the next few questions that Alexa can't answer.

If you do, let me know and I'll test them out for you!

Perfect! Anyone who wants to post them there, I will test them and video them even, if people want!
