So the little $35 ARM computer board that started the public ARM system revolution just recently turned two years old. I think everyone knows that I love alternative processor architectures and RISC computing so I've always been intrigued by the ability to get ARM computers. Here are some interesting facts about the Raspberry Pi:

Very nice! This thing has taken the world by storm. That's for sure. Are they still backordered?

No, you can readily get them. There are tons of competitors now too. For a little more money you can get something quite a bit more powerful that will let you run a large number of things like Android, Ubuntu, NetBSD, FreeBSD and possible Windows RT. For still less than $100 you can get into higher end procs, a couple GB of RAM and as many as quad cores.

@scottalanmiller Dang. You should start a thread dedicated to just Raspberry Pi projects in process/project ideas.

@ajstringham I agree, a dedicated thread would be nice. I'll borrow some ideas.

Sounds like a plan. Maybe a generic ARM board project thread.
