      @RojoLoco sorry 362 GB*

      Does that make it better? LOL

      not Sure!

      By "memory" ... do you mean free disk space?

        Good point... "free memory" is RAM, not hard drive space. @WrCombs I think you have your terminology mixed up.

          Memory generally refers to RAM. Storage or disk space are the phrases you are looking for.

            my question is; which VirtualBox, should I use? theres a dozen or so choices.

            0_1470236891277_VirtualBoxDownloads.PNG

            It's the list of "platform packages" that you want to pick from. You are not looking for Extension Packs (that's extra software, not VirtualBox itself) and you are not looking for a developer kit. So there are just the four links at the top. One is for Windows, one for Mac OS X, one for Linux and one for Solaris. So you just choose the one for the operating system that you are installing it on.

                  The term "block device" still gets me a bit.

                  In theory I understand the concept, but in functionality...

                    You need to get the terminology right if you expect to be taken seriously when you say "I'm in IT".

                            I edited your original post to have a more descriptive title and added a topical tag at the bottom. Tagging takes some getting used to and knowing what tags are useful or meaningful is something you learn and always has to be adjusted. A topic title should always be thoughtful. When people first see your topic, it's all that they see. So it needs to have enough information in it that someone knows if it is a topic that they are interested in and/or are able to help with.

                                I don't know.

                                I think because I generally just work with physical hard drives, and think of them as block devices. But obviously there are so many more things.

                                Really, anything with blocks is a block device!
