Friday afternoon account corruption.
-
So my present to myself for this Friday afternoon is calculator, internet explorer, and a number of other windows things refusing to start. I remember hearing this happens and is normally a corrupt domain account.
As it doesn't effect anything important for me, I decided I don't care about it till next week. Just hope I didn't find the latest bug with using Windows 10 on a SAMBA DC.

You have a Samba4 DC? What OS are you running it on?

CentOS 6. Took me a lot of fussing with settings to get it working right, but I eventually got it. Originally I did it with Zabbix, and I still have that VM, because one thing I'm not short on at the moment is drive space.

Zabbix? I'm unclear how that would relate.

This happened before, and I used it as the excuse to rebuild a SAMBA4 DC on CentOS instead of the Zabbix install. Zabbix isn't relevant outside my Friday afternoon "I'm dropping it and going home" muddled thoughts.

@travisdh1 Zabbix is a monitoring solution you're probably thinking of another product, probably Zentyal I would guess.

I bet you're right. I think it's a good thing I wasn't trying to fix things Friday, I would've just made things much worse!

"I'll jus treinstall Zabbix here and get everything back up and... hey what the crap is this?!"
