Hello Everyone,
I heard about ML yesterday from some guys on the “other community”. It looks quite promising and looking forward to seeing it grow.
I'm from Ontario, Canada (Toronto/Niagara area) and spend my days as the IT “Superman” for a mid-sized manufacturing company in the argicultural industry.

I'm Dean. I have about a billion video games (1,503, to be exact.) I live in Western NY. Sarcasm is my native language. And I have run out of small factoids about myself.

You are, completely randomly, SO close to tons of NTG people.

Thanks to SAM for the invite. I bowl, shoot pool, drink dark beer and sing karaoke, any karaoke singers here?

What is this NTG you speak of? I saw at least one person on here mention that they worked there.
-
@Awkward-Gamer NTG is Niagara Technology Group. The largest and most active IT service provider in both SW and here. NTG is easily the most social media and community focused service provider in the world. We account for 10% of all SW content, ever, for example.
Based in Piffard, NY, NTG has offices in the UK, Canada and US primarily but provide service globally and are expanding to other regions too.
NTG is rather unique in that we are larger than a normal SMB focused MSP but are not a reseller - we focus almost solely on human capital - and don't only provide services to companies but also to other MSPs. So we are a Meta MSP (MMSP).
-
@scottalanmiller Hmm... Interesting.
-
@technobabble I don't do karaoke as such... but I do provide my own backing

I do karaoke from time to time.

Backing as in backup singer?
-
I host Open Mic Night every Tuesday night and usually can be found singing karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights.
-
@technobabble No, backing as in I play as well as (more than in fact) sing.
Piano/guitar/drums/banjo (the last one is a bit of a joke, I never got terribly far with that one and have certainly never sang with it :)) -
I can actually play banjo, but it has been a very long time.

Wow, I finally found the end of this thread!
I'm Chad from Novi Michigan. You may recognize my pic though it ain't me. I love having a community of IT folk to learn from and I hope I can contribute. Outside of my professional work I am serious reader who can't wait to get hold of the new Richard Preston book. I have a puppy and a Redwood tree. Two redwoods actually, and I plan to plant one of them in the wild and the other is staying at home as an experiment in what could possibly go wrong?
When I'm not in work mode I enjoy a good bit of fun reading, hanging with our friends and this may shock some of you, inappropriate humor. -
