Just posting this as a heads up:
http://www.synology.com/en-global/releaseNote/model/DS412+I was affected by some of the external USB drive issues, I went from having two working ports down to 1.

How is the update overall?

@scottalanmiller I have updated to the latest just yet (update 1) but the initial update has been working great as far as I can tell. Took about a half hour to finish and that was including the download, application and reboot. I'm running this one as soon as I'm off today.

I might get around to upgrading this weekend.

Went ahead and started. Slow end of the day today.

Finished update, no problems. I did have to unplug the external USB drive and plug it back in to get it recognized but that was it.
