UEB local storage

I am setting the UEB spiceworks edition for a client. They just want to test while they still run their tape solution and would like to temporarily backup to an external hard drive. Is there any where to do this?

Well. Technically Unitrends does not support running it along side other backups solutions, as unitrends uses VSS (on windows). Use another solution could reset the flags and interfere with a incremental or differential backup system. If you use all full backups on both system I do not believe you'd have a problem. Also if you used a simple method of coping files to the external drive from the computer then backed up to tape from that you shouldn't have any problems. UEB itself does not support tape backup as ESXi has remove support for them.

How did you add this disk? Is is a second VMDK/VHDX or a Pass through?
