-
This poor user has been through the ringer. 50/50 shot as to outlook shutting down when she sends an email.
Things I've done:
-
created a new profile
-
reset the profiles srs file
-
reinstalled outlook
-
disabled antivirus mail plugin
This is outlook 2013 connected to 0365.

Have you checked for malware?
-
yes. systems are constantly scanned via GFI. nothing fishy
-
What about changing the default email editor to see if the problem might lie somewhere else other than Outlook?
-
Autocomplete corruption will do this, I bet it is one or two particular email addresses she uses that crashes Outlook. Hence the random nature of this.
Couple things to try:
ID the last user she tries to send to before Outlook crashes and delete that from the Autocomplete list. Type it Anew and see if you can get it to send without crashing
Second would be to clear the whole Autocomplete list and start over fresh but that is usually to disruptive for most users.
http://support.sherweb.com/Faqs/show/how-to-clear-the-outlook-2013-autocomplete-cache
Start Outlook in safe mode and see if it is a plugin
Start - Run - Outlook, exe /safeReinstall / Repair Office to fix the mso.dll association and registration.
Report back your findings

@GregoryHall i be you're right about the autocomplete. it does seem to be a few specific folks. Greg, you the bomb.
-
Will the Autocomplete list be maintained through profiles though? Wait, by new profile you mean you just deleted their Outlook profile option in control panel, not the whole user's profile in Windows.
-
correct dash. Outlook profile in ctrl panel
-
Yeah, when I see this it's almost always a profile issue, and it can be any of a number of things in the profile. Clearing the autocomplete cache is good, but I'd probably just rebuild the profile to play it safe...
-
AJ, if you read above, i had already done that to no avail. It was a problem with some of the autocomplete entries had corrupted.
-
I think you should blow the USER profile away and start that over.
But sounds like auto complete was your problem.. good to know.

Oh ok, my bad. I rarely will go back through and carefully read everything previously written in a thread.

That was in the OP.

Ok, I missed it completely. I've been kind of out of it today, so my sincere apologies.

The easiest test here would simply be to set up her profile on a different system altogether.
I assume OWA works?
